At a Glance

An independent school for girls in 6th-12th grades, Castilleja has been educating women leaders since 1907.

Our Students

Our student body reflects the cultural and economic diversity of our region—with some students who live in Palo Alto and surrounding communities and others who commute from San Francisco to the north, San Jose to the south, and various neighborhoods in the East Bay.

Inside and outside the classroom, learning and leading are intertwined at Castilleja. Our challenging academic program is enriched by our global curriculum, athletics, community engagement, visual and performing arts opportunities, Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) programming, and peer-to-peer mentorship across all grade levels.

Our Faculty

We are passionate about teaching young women to become intellectual partners through mentorship.

Castilleja faculty members are dedicated to educating young women for a lifetime of learning and leading and have been recognized by local, state, and national organizations for their contributions to student learning on our own campus and beyond.
